House Republicans Introduce Bill to Reverse 2nd Law of Thermodynamics

House Republicans introduced a bill on Capitol Hill this morning that would overturn the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

HB 5101, titled the "Peace and Order Bill", seeks to reverse the over 150 year-old axiomatic empirical finding that the total disorder of an isolated system shall always increase over time.

"Since its conception, this law has done nothing but promote trouble and chaos on our home shores and beyond," Rep. Jim Bridenstine, R-OK, a member of the Republican dominated Committee on Science, Space and Technology, remarked. "From mass shootings and ISIS to the fiery destruction of entire solar systems, enough is enough."

"Bullets don't kill people," Bridenstine added. "Entropy does."

Bridenstine went on to disprove the law's central tenet that the universe is becoming less organized by building a small house from a number of loose blocks.

"See?" Bridenstine gestured over his creation. "I made a cabin."

Meanwhile, Committee Chairman Lamar Smith has already denounced President Obama for declaring that he will veto any such bill after Obama called it, "Stupid."

"Well, that's just great," Smith said. "I guess when the sun collapses and we all die in a hellish ball of flames we'll know who to blame."
