Your Venn Guide to Not Committing Cultural Appropriation In today’s multicultural world of openness and enlightenment, it is more important than ever to recognize the boundaries of ownership when it comes to fashion. Groups who first adopt a style thereby forever own that style, and emulating it if you are not part of that group is a grave insult. Unlike the well-defined rules of physical and intellectual property however, the rules of cultural appropriation are often murky.
