Slideshow of Celebrities Not Wearing Makeup Sickens Thousands

A collection of photographs featuring celebrities not wearing makeup shocked and sickened thousands before being taken down this morning.

Published in MSN.com's Entertainment section, the horrifying slideshow of famous females sans cosmetics was not exactly what the doctor ordered according to those who had the misfortune of stumbling across it.

"I just kind of think that we all have enough problems right now. Who needs to see this?" one woman who described herself as 'blindsided' by the photos remarked. "I mean, come on. I'm just trying to get through my day."

Beginning with a "disturbing" selfie of Modern Family alum Ariel Winter, the gallery also included unsettling au naturale snapshots of such stars as Jessica Biel, Heidi Klum and Jennifer Anniston.

"The older celebrities were gross, sure, but what was really upsetting was the twenty-somethings. To think that that’s what even the most attractive of us look like without makeup, it's just depressing," another viewer commented.

Defending their decision to publish the photos as an attempt to "celebrate natural female beauty", MSN apologized for any harm they might have caused.

"We're deeply regretful for the response the photos generated and will never publish anything similar in the future," the mea culpa read in part.
