MRI Confirms Browns Receiver Josh Gordon Decapitated

An MRI has confirmed that wide receiver Josh Gordon was decapitated during the Cleveland Browns 24-18 win against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday.

The injury will end Gordon's season, head coach Rob Chudzinski announced in a press conference this morning.

"You hate to lose anybody, but this one really hurts," Chudzinski remarked, "It'll be on the other guys to step up."

Gordon sustained the injury mid-way through the third quarter when he collided with Ravens linebacker John Simon and his head appeared to detach from his body and roll across the field.

"After it happened Gordy wanted to get back in there. That's the kind of fire #12 brings every week," Chudzinski said.

Gordon, who has since died, Tweeted Tuesday morning that he had no plans to retire and would work hard to be back next year.

Prior to his death, Gordon had 35 catches for 626 yards and 3 touchdowns in 8 games this season.

As of press time, Gordon has been dropped by 234,158 fantasy league teams.
